Job Summary
Analysis-focused Digital Content Writer I role responsible for editing, coding and annotating court documents to enrich data for Lex Machina legal analytics; produces material for online platforms following editorial guidelines, with duties spanning identifying and linking briefs, motions, orders and opinions, building detailed timelines, and ensuring data quality. Requires a law degree or JD with exposure to US laws and courts, strong analytical, research, and proofreading skills, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to rapidly learn enterprise AI tools; emphasis on collaboration, clear communication, and a customer-centric approach to online publishing.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a law graduate or with a Juris Doctor degree (no remaining units in law school)
- Legal practice and/or legal industry experience
- Sound knowledge of computer literacy - MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel
- Excellent analysis and research skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player, detail oriented
- Average reading, legal comprehension, analytical, quantitative, and deductive reasoning skills
- Legal comprehension, and proofreading skills
- Strong commitment to performance and team success
- Demonstrate ability to apply expert information to practical publishing environment
