Job Summary
Digital Content Writer I role focusing on Legal Analytics content development. Writes material for online/digital platforms in line with editorial and style guidelines, and progresses from entry level to professional. Primary responsibilities include analyzing, editing, coding and annotating court documents for data enrichment used by the Lex Machina analytics product; identifying properties, findings, outcomes (including damages), expert witnesses, and building detailed timelines linking briefs, motions, orders, opinions and other filings for each case. Requires a solid understanding of US laws and courts, strong data-rigour, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to collaborate with teammates and assist in editorial decisions. The role emphasizes customer-centric quality assurance of online products and the ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools to support workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a law graduate or with a Juris Doctor degree (no remaining units in law school)
- Legal practice and/or legal industry experience
- Strong computer literacy - Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office programs especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel
- Excellent analysis and research skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player, detail oriented
- Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives
