Job Summary
Produce, write, and edit multimedia content for digital, radio, and social platforms while optimizing user experience and maximizing audience engagement. Identify trending stories, develop packages from wire copy and original reporting on tight deadlines, and distribute alerts via app push notifications. Pitch and produce original news stories supporting daily journalism coverage and special projects, adhering to AP style and monitoring partner outlets. The regular schedule includes weekend shifts, midday starts, and nights as needed per the news cycle. Bachelor's degree in journalism with three years of professional multimedia experience required, including proficiency in WordPress, audio editing software, and social media tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or related fields of study
- At least three years experience on a professional level producing multimedia content for distribution
