Job Summary
Digital Content Producer in a fast-paced newsroom, collaborating with managers, producers, reporters, anchors, and meteorologists to create and push original content across digital platforms (station website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, NOW Local News app). Focus on driving traffic and engaging audiences across web, apps, push notifications, and social media. Responsibilities include monitoring station site and social channels, sourcing fresh local and non-local stories, contributing to daily editorial discussions, writing and producing breaking news, launching live streams, and assisting with producing/reporting of broadcast news and long-form video storytelling.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism or related field or equivalent experience
- Exceptional verbal and writing skills
- Demonstrate ability to write clearly on various platforms under tight deadlines
- Excellent time management skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of the newsroom team
- Willingness to work in a flexible schedule
