Job Summary
The Digital Content Associate will support NASW’s chapter webpages through editing HTML, troubleshooting technical issues, and enhancing usability. Responsibilities include publishing editorial content on NASW's websites, promoting best practices in web content, ensuring ADA compliance, and enhancing the searchability of webpages. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree, strong writing and editing skills, and experience in content management systems. Proficiency in Photoshop, and understanding of SEO and UX principles are also required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, social work or a related field required
- Strong understanding of writing and editing standards for websites, social media, and blogs
- Demonstrated understanding of user-experience design (UX) and workflow
- Photoshop (basic level: cropping photos to size, optimizing image quality)
- Knowledge of SEO strategy for content creation and marketing HTML knowledge required
- 2 years of content strategy and writing experience, preferably for public-facing websites
- 2 years of website design or graphic design experience
- Experience using/managing content management systems (CMS); DNN Evoq experience preferred
- Professional experience editing content for the web
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of AP style
- Adobe Illustrator experience preferred
- Experience training others in Web best practices
- Experience creating training materials preferred
