Job Summary

Oversee online news content activities for KFBK, including social media, by planning, developing, and acquiring content for online sites and assigned market segments. Create, enhance, and set the direction and tone of digital content while identifying additional markets. Develop measurable demand generation campaigns that drive traffic to iHeartMedia's websites, owning all aspects of acquisition and online marketing including landing pages and advertising. Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Sales, and senior management to shape strategies, devise creative ideas for new features, and manage outside vendors. Contribute on-air segments for KFBK Morning & Afternoon News as requested and cover breaking news events on-air when needed. Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office, social networking platforms, and digital tools; experience as an experienced journalist covering radio, television, or digital news. Salary $70,304 - $80,000; Full-time, Regular Time in Sacramento, CA.

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
  • Ability to learn news systems quickly
  • Highly proficient in digital content including websites, social media, blogs and mobile/tablet applications
  • Highly proficient in digital content including video
  • Demonstrated excellence in demand generation marketing

  • Collaborates with KFBK Air Talent on digital content
  • Interacts with staff and utilizes the resources of 24-7 News Pacific Region
  • Contributes on-air segments for KFBK Morning & Afternoon News as requested
  • Fills in as a back-up KFBK Morning & Afternoon News Producer when other fill ins aren't available
  • Covers breaking news events on-air as requested
  • 5-8 years of work experience in Journalism/Marketing
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Marketing, Journalism or Communications

Desired Qualifications

  • Media experience preferred as a news reporter, anchor, or producer
