Job Summary
Digital Communications Specialist responsible for telling Opportunity Partners' story through marketing communications, development and engagement strategies. Responsibilities include storytelling and content creation (interviewing, writing, proofreading, newsletters, nominations), coordinating monthly Staff Update newsletters, collaborating cross-functionally across sites, capturing basic photography and video for social and traditional channels, and developing and executing social media strategies to grow authentic engagement. The role involves managing the organization's social media presence, contributing to thought leadership with leadership content, tracking engagement insights, website maintenance and content updates, and ensuring accessibility and mobile responsiveness. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing/communications or equivalent experience, minimum one year of relevant experience, and proficiency with social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), WordPress and Hootsuite; Canva or InDesign experience is a plus; AI experience is preferred. The position is located in Minnetonka, MN with aHybrid schedule (in-office Mon/Tue/Thu; W-F remote). Equal opportunity employer statement included.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in digital marketing, public relations, communications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of one year of professional experience in digital marketing, communications, social media, or related field
- Experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn is required
- Experience with WordPress and Hootsuite is desired
- Experience with Canva or InDesign is a plus
- Proficiency in updating and maintaining websites to ensure accessibility and mobile responsiveness
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Familiarity with analytics to track engagement and content performance
Desired Qualifications

- Experience with WordPress, Hootsuite, or similar platforms
- Experience with Canva or Adobe InDesign, Photoshop is a plus
