Job Summary

Develop, publish, and maintain digital content across official agency channels including websites, social media, email newsletters, and digital signage. Translate complex tax collection information into clear, user-friendly materials while managing day-to-day website updates for accuracy, ADA compliance, and intuitive navigation. Create digital graphics, informational posts, short videos, and other media aligned with brand standards, and support public awareness campaigns regarding property taxes, motor services, and fraud prevention. Monitor digital performance analytics, community feedback, and social media comments to recommend content strategy improvements and escalate concerns appropriately. Assist in crisis or emergency communications by rapidly updating platforms with accurate, actionable information and collaborate with operational divisions to ensure messaging consistency. Maintain content calendars, adhere to communication timelines, and develop internal materials for staff portals and training resources.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, digital media, journalism, public administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–4 years of experience in digital communications, content creation, or public information
  • Proficiency in content management systems, social media tools, graphic design platforms, and analytics dashboards
  • Strong writing, editing, and visual communication skills with the ability to translate complex information clearly
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG) and best practices for public-sector digital communication
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to fast-paced, high-visibility situations
  • Applicants being considered for employment will be required to submit to a fingerprint-based background investigation, which will include a check of the criminal history records of the FBI
  • Driver Licenses Examiners must meet the background standards outlined in Florida Statute 435.04, and Federal Regulations 384.228 and 1572.103
  • not having any criminal convictions for alcohol or drug-related offenses within 10 years prior to employment

  • government or public service preferred
  • Experience with video production, photography, or basic graphic design is a plus
