Job Summary
Digital Analyst to join Hamilton City Council's Digital Services unit, delivering HR & Regulatory platform solutions. Responsibilities include facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, mapping business processes to technology solutions, creating functional specifications, maintaining comprehensive documentation, and ensuring stakeholder buy-in throughout the project lifecycle. Will work within an Agile scrum framework, perform data querying and reporting (PowerBI, SQL), and contribute to backlog grooming and sprint events. Requires strong communication, ability to bridge business and technical domains, and a focus on outcomes over outputs. Office-based with hybrid-flex arrangement, aiming for 3–4 days in office initially. Salary circa $105K (NZD) dependent on skills and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Digital Analyst or similar role
- Facilitation of workshops and requirements gathering
- Ability to translate business processes into functional specs
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication
- Documentation and analytical skills
- Experience working in Agile/scrum environments
- Comfort with PowerBI, SQL, and SaaS/ERP systems
- Understanding HR and Regulatory domain processes
- Autonomous work style and ability to manage priorities
