Job Summary

Complete inpatient and outpatient nutritional assessments and reassessments for patients in specialty areas, then coordinate patient nutrition care and implement interventions with the health care team. Provide specialized nutrition education to patients and families in individual or group settings, arranging outpatient referrals as necessary. Attend patient care, team, and quality meetings; deliver in-services and lectures to clinical staff; mentor dietitians and educate students, interns, residents, and fellows. Serve as a consultant to attending physicians. Requires a Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, three years of clinical experience, and an RD/RDN certification. Full-time, varied shift schedule.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or Nutrition-related field
  • Three years of clinical nutrition experience
  • Certification from Commission on Dietetic registration (RD/RDN)
  • Board Certified Specialty certification within one year of hire or transfer, for outpatient clinic positions only
  • Read legibly
  • Write legibly
  • Speak in English with professional quality
  • Use computer and software programs necessary to the position
  • Troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment
  • Relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others
  • Be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies
