Job Summary
Dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy to pediatric and adult patients, collaborates with interdisciplinary health care teams, uses the Nutrition Care Process and NCPT to assess nutrition status, diagnose nutrition issues, design and implement care plans, and monitor outcomes for patients at nutrition risk or malnourished; requires ACEND-accredited program, CDR-registered dietitian, and state licensure within 6 months; full-time daytime role in Portland, OR.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, foods and nutrition or related area granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college or university, or foreign equivalent
- Master's degree is only required for those entering the workforce after 1/1/2024 as a Dietitian
- Completion of required dietetics coursework and supervised practice through a Didactic Program in Dietetics and Dietetic Internship or Coordinated Program in Dietetics accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: Oregon Dietitian License
- Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: May require additional state Dietitian License
- 1 year experience with current adult learning theory in relation to nutrition education
- 1 year experience with nutrition management of multiple disease states
