Dietitian- Part Time 24 hours per week-Day Shift

Job Summary
Coordinate outpatient counseling by scheduling patients, reviewing medical records, and assessing nutritional status through interviews and lab data analysis. Develop rapport and provide education on nutrition habits, while collaborating with physicians and nurses to implement therapeutic nutrition protocols and manage TPN or tube feeding orders. Document assessments in the EMR, obtain referral forms, and conduct quality improvement audits or community lectures as assigned. Submit policy recommendations and serve on interdisciplinary committees to promote nutrition care standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition
- Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist with State of Connecticut or certification eligible
- Registered Dietitian (R.D.) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- Ability to read and write in English
- Proficient in MNT, nutrition and disease management
- Knowledge of enteral formulas and TPN selection and management
- Ability to provide clear and effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to make accurate decisions based on clinical knowledge
- Ability to follow department standards, policies and procedure
- Ability to converse with other medical professionals
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations on nutrition topics

Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical or outpatient experience
