Job Summary
The Dietitian will plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Dietary Department and its programs. Responsibilities include coordinating dietary services, inspecting food storage areas, developing dietary plans, reviewing diet menus, maintaining sanitary work areas, and purchasing food supplies. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in nutrition or dietetics, be a registered Dietitian, and possess at least two years of relevant medical facility experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in nutrition or dietetics
- Registered as a Dietitian in this state
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or related medical facility
- Training in cost control, food management, and diet therapy
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, visitors, and the general public
- Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm
