Job Summary
Assess patients' nutritional needs, develop and implement personalized dietary plans, and provide education on healthy eating habits. Instruct patients on post-discharge diets, monitor nutritional status, and communicate with physicians and other disciplines regarding care. Evaluate referral orders for adequacy, document pertinent information in medical records, and conduct calorie counts to make appropriate recommendations. Review, revise, and sign off menus for nutritional adequacy while adapting menus for special dietary needs.
Required Qualifications
- Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association
- State licensure required
- Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited institution with a major in Food & Nutrition
Desired Qualifications
- Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred
- One year of Clinical Dietetics experience preferred
