Job Summary
Assess and monitor residents' nutritional status, complete thorough nutritional assessments upon admission and quarterly, and accurately complete assigned sections in the Minimum Data Set. Develop, implement, and routinely update nutritional care plans while monitoring residents for weight changes and skin breakdown. Oversee diet orders, review menu changes for compliance, and observe meal services to ensure appropriate therapeutic modifications and correct textures are served. Partner with the interdisciplinary team to align diets with specific medical conditions and provide essential nutritional education to residents, families, and staff. Perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation and safety, conduct routine care audits, and actively participate in facility inspection surveys.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university
- Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- Actively licensed in Nutrition/Dietetics in the State of Wisconsin
