Job Summary
Obtain and enter daily menu selections into the computer system via the Call Center. Print daily reports as assigned and prepare meal tickets for the tray line. Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the computer card file for each patient, including diet orders, tube feeding orders, allergies, supplements, nourishments, and food preferences. This role supports the 537-bed teaching hospital serving over 100,000 patients annually across Long Island. Bilingual candidates with Foodservice Ambassador experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- AAS Degree meeting the educational standards established by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) or enrolled in a program
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutrition supplements
Desired Qualifications
- knowledge of CBORD (diet order management system) strongly preferred
- Bilingual preferred
- Foodservice Ambassador/Dietary Aide experience preferred
- Experience working in a call center strongly preferred
