Job Summary
Process patient menus, dietary needs, and restrictions from units and patients, including diet changes. Coordinate food production per established menus, update computerized kardex, and generate tally guides for tray-line staff. Check tray-line accuracy and appearance, answer calls from patients and clinical staff, and direct department staff on meal production and delivery. This role supports Harborview's Food and Nutrition mission by delivering nutritious food to patients, families, and the community. Positions are available in evenings (3:30pm–8:00pm) or days (7am–3:30pm).
Required Qualifications
- Possession of, or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment
- One year of experience as a Dietary Unit Aide in a health care facility or equivalent
- High school graduation or GED
- One year of additional experience may substitute for the educational requirement
