Job Summary
Lead and support Dietary Aide staff to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional service quality across dining areas. Oversee front-of-house operations in Borden, Webster, and Anderson when serving as the Culinary Manager on Duty. Train and mentor new team members, including instruction on the Cubigo system and organizational procedures. Conduct audits, provide feedback, and guide staff through performance improvements while ensuring dining areas meet sanitation, infection control, and safety standards. Address resident concerns promptly, professionally, and with compassion to uphold the health, well-being, and rights of residents and staff. Complete daily closing paperwork and ensure all checklists and responsibilities are fulfilled. Foster a positive and inclusive team environment while holding staff accountable to organizational expectations and the Code of Conduct.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous food service experience
- Leadership experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to train, motivate, and support team members in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Dependability, flexibility, and a willingness to work a varied schedule
- A positive attitude and commitment to exceptional customer service
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with residents, families, and coworkers
- Ability to stand and walk for approximately 90% of the workday
- Frequent stooping, bending, stretching, and working in confined spaces
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and hold up to 60 pounds
- Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, including exposure to ovens and freezers
- May be exposed to industrial cleaning chemicals, odors, and communicable diseases
