Job Summary
The Dietary Services Director will oversee the dietary department, ensuring meals are prepared and served safely and timely. Responsibilities include developing menus to meet residents/patients’ nutritional needs, ensuring compliance with dietary restrictions, training dietary staff, maintaining inventory and equipment, upholding food safety and sanitation standards, building relationships with residents and families, and collaborating with other departments to meet dietary needs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Dietician, Diet Technician, or previous Dietary Director, meeting the requirements established by the State Regulatory Agency.
- Must possess, at minimum, a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification.
- Minimum of three (3) years related experience.
- One (1) to two (2) years management/supervisory experience required.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
