Job Summary
Set up and restock food items in soup, salad, dessert, and condiment areas, assuring proper portions, temperature, and appearance. Serve food to patients, staff, and visitors while maintaining high cleanliness standards and adhering to patient confidentiality and rights. Operate cash registers during lunch and evening meals, counting drawers accurately at the start and end of shifts. Deliver prepared trays to patients and staff, printing orders for delivery and pickups as needed. Follow duty sheets for tray lines and cashier operations, complying with food service safety standards and wearing required gloves and head covers. Work hours vary between 10 am to 6:30 pm or 6 am to 2:30 pm.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Professional Food Sanitation and Service certification
- Familiarity with cafeteria and servery operations
- Ability to set up cafeteria lines and set tables for banquets
