Job Summary
Kitchen Server / Dietary Aid assisting with food preparation, washing dishes, maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas, and serving meals to residents. Delivers meals to residents’ rooms, prepares and serves snacks, and manages weekly inventory of food and kitchen supplies. Collaborates with the Dietary Manager to ensure meals follow the menu, safety and sanitation standards, and state regulations. Sets up and takes down dining areas, helps organize kitchen operations, and maintains a respectful, calm service focused on residents’ dignity and nutritional needs. Requires a current Food Handler's Permit, ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff, willingness to work with the elderly, and proof of a TB test (or willingness to obtain within two weeks of hire). Universal precautions apply; lifting up to 40 lbs may be required. A background check will be conducted upon hire, and Utah regulations prohibit hiring individuals with certain felonies or abuse findings.
