Job Summary
Dietary Manager to oversee day-to-day food service operations, lead the dietary team (cooks, aides, and nutrition staff), ensure meals meet nutritional needs and regulatory standards, collaborate with clinical teams on menu planning, manage inventory and budgeting, and promote a safe, sanitary kitchen with high-quality resident dining experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in food service management, nutrition, or a related field (preferred)
- Certification as a Dietary Manager (CDM) or eligibility for certification (required)
- 2+ years of experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment
- Strong knowledge of nutrition standards, food safety regulations, and dietary requirements
- Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly
