Job Summary
Dietary Manager to supervise a team of dietary staff and direct the dietary department operations in line with federal, state, and local standards. Responsibilities include managing staff accountability to standards, ensuring healthy and nutritious food selections for residents, enforcing food handling precautions, providing training and development for dietary staff (including meal planning and preparation, sanitary practices), planning and managing menus with variety, maintaining properly stocked kitchen supplies and equipment, and operating the kitchen in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner. Requires degree in dietetics or food service management or related field, ServeSafe certification, 3 years’ supervisory experience, and working knowledge of relevant software; strong organizational, communication, and multi-cultural collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supervising dietary staff
- Degree in dietetics or food service management or related field
- Experience with food safety regulations and nutrition information
- Proficiency with software programs (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance/Improvement processes and state/federal regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to supervise staff
- English language proficiency
- ServeSafe certification completed
- 3 years of supervisory experience in the industry
