Job Summary
Lead the dietary services department in a senior living community. Oversee day-to-day operations, ensure meals are prepared and served according to physician orders and therapeutic diets, maintain regulatory compliance, supervise and coach dietary staff, manage inventory and budgeting, monitor sanitation and infection control, collaborate with the Registered Dietitian and interdisciplinary team, participate in resident care planning and quality improvement initiatives, and strive to achieve high resident satisfaction with food service and dining experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred
- ServSafe Certification preferred or ability to obtain
- Previous supervisory experience in healthcare dietary services, long-term care, skilled nursing, hospital, or food service management
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutrition principles
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
