Job Summary
Manage the dietary department to ensure quality food service and nutritional care. Responsibilities include assisting with food ordering, storage, preparation, and making menu changes. Ensure safe food handling and maintain food quality standards. Attend staff meetings, develop departmental procedures, and work dietary staff routines as assigned. Candidates should have certification in food safety and prefer graduates of a dietary manager training program, along with two to three years of supervisory experience in a relevant dietary department.
Required Qualifications
- Two to three years of supervisory experience in hospital or long-term care facility dietary department desirable.
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in food safety as required by state regulations
- Graduate of dietary manager training program approved by the Dietary Manager’s Association and/or State Health Department preferred
