Job Summary
Certified Dietary Manager sought to oversee the daily operations of the food-service department in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Responsibilities include leadership and supervision of staff, budgeting and cost control, menu planning with therapeutic diets, HACCP-based food safety, ensuring food quality and service standards, and collaboration with clinicians (RD and IDT) to develop and update dietary plans. The role requires coordinating diet orders, completing required diet documentation (MDS as applicable), and maintaining records of personnel, inventories, and expenditures. The ideal candidate will have completed a dietary manager program (2-year or 4-year), successfully passed the Certified Dietary Manager exam, and possess at least two years of food-service management experience in healthcare; strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Dietary Manager’s Course, 2-yr, or 4-yr food-service program
- Successful completion of Certified Dietary Manager exam
- Two years’ experience in food-service management
- Prior healthcare experience preferred
