Job Summary
Review work orders to determine food quantities and types for patient diets, then prepare, season, and cook meals while inspecting storage and directing sanitary maintenance. Coordinate menus, adjust offerings based on feedback, and chart patient intake percentages for nurses. Simultaneously clean and maintain all common areas, floors, furniture, and restrooms to meet health standards, disinfect equipment, and follow universal precautions for hazardous materials. Maintain a compassionate, self-motivated approach to serving patients and families in our community-based rehabilitation settings.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Current food handler's certification required
- Active food handlers certificate
- Six months of related experience in a Healthcare facility setting
- An acute attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills to manage relationships with patients, their family members and coworkers
- Self-motivated and collaborative; a team player
- Strong culinary knowledge and a commitment to excellent customer service
- A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach
Desired Qualifications
- CPR/BLS encouraged
