Job Summary

Manage the Food and Nutrition Services department by overseeing staffing, purchasing, food preparation, delivery, and clean-up in accordance with State and Federal regulations and resident care plans. Direct all resident nutritional needs planning and programs while administering personnel functions for the department. Plan, develop, and execute facility and individual resident menus in conjunction with a Dietitian Consultant, implementing substitutions based on seasonal availability, preferences, and economic principles. Maintain department budgets and ensure compliance with all rules regarding residents' rights. Provide quality food service that meets the highest standards attainable for the long-term care facility.

Required Qualifications

  • Qualified Dietitian, or other nutrition-related Bachelor's Degree, or successful completion of state-approved food service management course (Certified Dietary Manager or Dietary Technician)
  • Experience with food preparation in a long-term care setting
  • Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation
