Job Summary
Coordinate the meal service program for the central kitchen and residential settings, preparing weekday lunches per approved menus and managing food inventory. Provide ongoing diet training to staff and participants, complete daily meal counts, and monitor billing and attendance. Supervise kitchen operations by ensuring sanitation protocols, equipment maintenance, and chemical safety compliance. Respond to emergency situations and assist with immediate medical or behavioral needs. Order supplies and deliver items as required while maintaining accurate diet order records.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Must successfully complete ServSafe Certification
- Valid driver's license for at least 3 years or 21 years of age
- Ability to pass agency's driver training course
- Must be insurable under agency insurance policies
- Must successfully complete background check
- Must successfully complete reference check
- Must successfully complete agency approved training and certifications
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time
- Ability to stoop
- Ability to pull/push items
- Ability to break down boxes
- Ability to reach
- Ability to bend
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to follow a recipe
- Must be able to calculate measurements
- Must be able to follow diet orders
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of dietary experience
- Combination of education and experience in working with people with developmental disabilities
