Job Summary
Prepare and serve meals according to the menu while monitoring food handling, preparation, meal service, and equipment cleaning. Safely and efficiently provide nutritionally appropriate food to residents to maintain and enhance their overall health. Ensure quality food service and nutrition care align with Federal, State, and Local regulations. Maintain a professional image and utilize excellent communication skills while working with seniors. Prior experience in long-term care settings is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- Professional image in both appearance and behavior
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- A fire and passion for working with seniors
- A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
- Prior dietary experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting
- One year of experience as a cook in a large-scale cooking operation
