Job Summary
Dietary Cook responsible for preparing and serving meals in accordance with physician-prescribed diets, established menus, and food safety standards in a healthcare setting. Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and dietary requirements, monitor temperatures, and maintain sanitation. Follow instructions for diabetic, low-sodium, and texture-modified diets; assist with tray assembly and meal service; support inventory control and kitchen operations in Moraga Post Acute. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cooking experience in a healthcare, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or food service setting
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions, therapeutic diets, and food safety regulations
- Food Handler's Certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
