Job Summary
Prepare food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, community procedures, and food safety and sanitation regulations under the supervision of the Food Service Director. Maintain established standards of practice, adhere to universal precautions, and ensure meals are palatable, appetizing, and served at correct temperatures. Direct and assist in cleaning, sanitizing work areas, equipment, floors, dishes, and utensils while running the food service production line to assure timely service and accurate trays. Treat all residents fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect. Full-time and part-time shifts available, including 6a-2p and 12p-8p.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Working knowledge of the fundamentals of food safety and sanitation
- Current state specific requirements for food handler training
- Ability to Prepare and serve food and meals in a manner that protects residents from food borne illness
- Ability to adhere to universal precautions, sanitation, safety, and infection control policies and procedures
- Ability to run/participate in establishing food service production line to assure that meals are served on time and trays are accurate for menu, diet preferences, and orders
- Ability to treat all residents fairly, and with kindness, dignity and respect and in compliance with resident rights
