Job Summary
Prepare and cook meals in the community following established recipes and menus, ensuring meals are prepared and presented to Company standards. Deliver a high level of customer service in a restaurant-style dining atmosphere, while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and storage areas. Responsible for opening and/or closing the kitchen, following cleaning schedules, and ensuring proper receipt, storage, and preparation of all food. Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals; participate in pre-meal stand up in the kitchen prior to meal service; document temperatures of food prior to service, refrigeration and freezer; assist with transportation and storage of food and supplies. Adhere to Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices; may perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a cook in a hospitality or healthcare environment preferred
- Food handlers permit as required by state law and/or Company standards
- Able to read and follow recipes and printed production guides, cleaning schedules, and logs
- Weekends required
