Job Summary
Prepare meals and snacks for clients according to ASTER SPRINGS menus and dietary formulary. Rotate stored food by date, disinfect back stock areas, and record refrigerator/freezer temperatures daily. Purchase groceries, coordinate supply needs with the Dietitian, and schedule shopping to accommodate the meal/responsibility schedule. Clean kitchen and dining rooms after meals, document cleaning logs, and ensure all items in refrigerated storage are less than one week old. Provide emotional support to clients as needed and communicate cooking, defrosting, and storage guidelines to accrediting bodies during inspections.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's preferred
- Meal preparation in like setting preferred
- Continued education courses in dietetics and/or psychology or social work preferred
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or the ability to obtain within the first 30 days of hire
