Job Summary
Dietary Associate — Cook responsible for preparing meals and snacks for residents in a nursing home, following menus and recipes, accommodating special and therapeutic diets, maintaining a sanitary kitchen, operating the dishwashing process, ensuring proper temperatures, and documenting sanitation-related procedures. The role includes assisting with food safety, portioning, serving residents, and supporting the Culinary Services operation when the Dietary Manager is absent.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- To be qualified for this position you must maintain a current Food Services Sanitation certificate and have one (1) year job related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items and therapeutic diets.
- A culinary apprenticeship or training is preferred.
- Restaurant, cooking and/or culinary experience preferred.
