Job Summary
Dietary Assistant (PRN) in Montrose, CO assists in defined food preparation, serving of meals and cleaning duties according to procedures; follows diet orders and recipe directions; reads and understands procedures; attends required in-services and completes online modules; reports observed resident concerns and equipment needs, and participates in reporting on damaged or unsafe equipment and vermin-related conditions. Requires friendly demeanor and may benefit from prior institutional dietary service experience. This role is on-site, part-time, with opportunities for growth and benefits through VOANS.
Required Qualifications
- Friendly and enjoy working with the elderly.
- Previous institutional dietary service experience is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand procedures used for work assignments, instructions, recipe directions and diet order cards.
- Numerical ability for recipe preparation and proper measuring of cleaning agents and chemicals.
