Job Summary
Dietary Assistant provides fundamental food service to patients and customers, performing tasks such as patient tray line setup, dish room duties, utilities and sanitation, cafeteria serving, and cold food production. The role supports teamwork to deliver high-quality food and service, follows menu cycles and standardized recipes, ensures proper portions, adheres to sanitation, safety, and quality guidelines, documents temperatures for refrigeration and equipment, and maintains clean, organized work areas while addressing customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism.
Required Qualifications
- Current Food Handlers card or obtained within 30 days of hire through State Food Safety/ServSafe/Local County Health Department, PIC training provided through County Health Department
