Job Summary
Prepare well-balanced meals and snacks for residents according to daily menus and special diet requests. Assist in portioning food, serving meals on time, and providing seconds as needed. Maintain a sanitary kitchen by cleaning equipment, washing dishes, operating the dish machine, and ensuring proper temperature controls in refrigeration units. Comply with state regulations, discard outdated food, and maintain confidentiality of resident information while wearing appropriate protective clothing.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Food Services Sanitation certificate
- One (1) year job related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items and therapeutic diets
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Written and verbal skills for effective communication
- Competence in organizational skills
- Time management skills
- Good judgment

- Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with residents, their families, vendors, community, and staff
