Job Summary
Dietary Assistant Cashier performs a variety of duties including food preparation, serving meals to patients, staff, and visitors, assisting patients with menus and dietary preferences, and handling cash transactions. The role requires accurate cash handling, operation of a cash register and processing credit card payments, strong customer service and communication skills, and maintaining clean kitchen and service areas. This part-time position runs weekday evenings from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with weekend and holiday hours varying; shift differentials may apply where eligible; requires a high school diploma or equivalent and being at least 18 years old.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- must be 18 years of age
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Cash handling experience, including providing change accurately
- Experience in operating a Cash Register and processing credit card transactions preferred
- Prior experience in food service related position preferred
