Job Summary
Prepare therapeutic desserts and salads, serve meals in health center pantries, and set up tables in dining rooms. Transport hot and cold foods and non-food items between pantries, wash silver and glass in dish machines, and maintain stock and sanitation levels in coffee and juice machines. Provide snacks and supplements per diet orders, ensure orders match physician specifications, and clear dishes during and after meal service. Answer questions about menu items while maintaining work stations in proper order. Work a full-time 4-on/2-off rotation with competitive pay, medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) match.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic
- Ability to understand measurements and conversions
- Ability to plan, organize and set up trays and plates
- Ability to interpret specifications and standards
- Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers
- Empathy for the elderly
- Shift: (4 ON / 2 OFF Rotation)
- Full-Time

- Previous experience in nursing home food service
