Job Summary
Serve resident and guest meals courteously, assist with order placement, and provide beverage service including water, iced tea, juices, milk, and coffee. Refill condiment bowls before and after each meal, sweep, mop, and vacuum kitchen and dining rooms, and reset dining areas post-service. Report broken equipment or tableware to the supervisor, understand sit-down service techniques, and maintain proper food storage and labeling. Attentively monitor residents with mobility deficits or memory impairment, follow confidentiality policies, and interact politely with residents, guests, and co-workers. Perform tray service and complete other duties assigned while maintaining clean uniforms and good personal hygiene.
Required Qualifications
- Must be in clean designated uniform during working hours and maintain good personal hygiene
- Must be able to read and follow simple instructions
- Must possess ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks
- Must be able to learn quickly and apply learned principles
- Must be able to communicate effectively and work under close supervision
- Must be able to bend, reach, grasp, push and pull objects
- Must be able to stand and walk for sustained periods up to three (3) hours at a time
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis and carry heavy objects for 20 feet
- Must be organized and willing to work well with other team members
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays
