Job Summary
Dietary Aide responsible for assisting in meal preparation and serving meals to residents or patients in a healthcare or long-term care facility. Supports the dietary team by ensuring meals follow established menus and dietary guidelines (including diabetic, low-sodium, and gluten-free options), maintains sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas, and provides excellent customer service to residents and patients. Duties include preparing and delivering trays, following portion sizes and meal plans, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, restocking supplies, collaborating with cooks and dietary supervisors, and assisting with setup for meals. Requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a willingness to participate in on-the-job training. Education preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food service or a healthcare environment is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
