Job Summary
Dietary Aide performs a variety of tasks in preparation, service, and cleanup for meals served to patients and staff in the nursing center and other events. Responsibilities include assisting the cook as directed by the food service director, preparing and labeling nourishments according to procedures, preparing and portioning desserts and salads into dishes, pouring beverages, and following production/pre-preparation sheets or guidelines as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and understand English for business necessity
- Basic understanding of sanitation, organization and safety
- Prior experience in food service preferred
- Prior experience in long-term care preferred
