Job Summary
Dietary Aide assists in food preparation and serving; maintains clean and sanitary kitchen and dining areas under the supervision of the Dietary Manager or Cook. Responsibilities include checking trays for menu and diet preferences, setting up and delivering meals, preparing serving lines, handling central tray service, transporting carts, washing and sanitizing dishes and equipment, stocking food items, maintaining inventory, reporting hazards, and participating in in-service education while upholding confidentiality and residents’ rights.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in hospital or skilled nursing facility dietary department preferred
- Organized and detailed in work performance
- Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience
- Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility
- Comply with the Residents’ Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures
