Job Summary
Follow department procedures for dish storage and ensure all food in refrigeration, freezer, and dry storage is labeled and dated. Oversee proper food handling to prevent contamination, clean kitchen and food service equipment, and maintain correct food temperatures during preparation and service. Assist with tray line setup by assembling trays according to planned menus, resident preferences, and diet orders, then check trays for accuracy during service. Suggest menu or recipe changes to utilize leftovers and reduce costs. Requires high school diploma, 1-3 months experience, and knowledge of special diets. Flexible schedule with weekend availability available.
