Job Summary
Follow department procedures and storage protocols for all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Ensure all food in refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage is labeled and dated. Oversee proper food handling to prevent contamination, increase quality, and reduce costs. Clean all food service equipment, kitchen, and food storage areas. Maintain proper food temperatures during preparation and service, recording temperatures per established policy. Assist with tray line setup, assembling trays according to planned menus, tray tickets, resident preferences, and diet orders within scheduled times. Check trays during service for accuracy. Requires high school diploma or GED, 1-3 months related experience, and knowledge of special diets. Flexible full-time and part-time schedule with weekend availability starting at $16+/hr.
