Job Summary
Follow department procedures for dish storage, label and date all food in refrigeration and dry storage, and oversee proper food handling to prevent contamination. Clean food service equipment and kitchen areas while maintaining correct food temperatures during preparation and service. Assist with tray line setup by assembling trays according to menu plans, resident preferences, and diet orders, then check trays for accuracy. Suggest menu or recipe changes to utilize leftovers and reduce costs. Requires high school diploma, 1-3 months experience, and knowledge of special diets. Flexible full-time and part-time schedules with weekend availability.
