Job Summary
Serve resident and guest meals courteously, manage clean-up and resetting of dining rooms, and provide beverage service including water, iced tea, juices, milk, and coffee. Refill condiment bowls, report broken equipment, and assist residents with tray service while understanding sit-down techniques and basic food preparation. Sweep, mop, and vacuum kitchen and dining areas, attend staff meetings, and maintain confidentiality regarding resident information. Interact politely with residents, guests, and co-workers while adhering to uniform and hygiene standards. Work flexible evening, weekend, and holiday shifts under close supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Must be in clean designated uniform during working hours and maintain good personal hygiene
- Must be able to read and follow simple instructions
- Must possess ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks
- Must be able to learn quickly and apply learned principles
- Must be able to communicate effectively and work under close supervision
- Must be able to bend, reach, grasp, push and pull objects
- Must be able to stand and walk for sustained periods up to three (3) hours at a time
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis and carry heavy objects for 20 feet
- Must be organized and willing to work well with other team members
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays
