Job Summary
Serve resident and guest meals courteously, manage clean-up and resetting of dining rooms, and provide beverage service including water, tea, juices, and coffee. Refill condiment bowls, report broken equipment, and understand proper serving techniques for sit-down service. Assist residents with tray service and order placement while maintaining confidentiality regarding resident information. Sweep, mop, and vacuum kitchen and dining areas, and attend required in-services and staff meetings. Perform duties under close supervision while adhering to clean uniform and hygiene standards.
Required Qualifications
- Must be in clean designated uniform during working hours and maintain good personal hygiene
- Must be able to read and follow simple instructions
- Must possess ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks
- Must be able to learn quickly and apply learned principles
- Must be able to communicate effectively and work under close supervision
- Must be able to bend, reach, grasp, push and pull objects
- Must be able to stand and walk for sustained periods up to three (3) hours at a time
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis and carry heavy objects for 20 feet
- Must be organized and willing to work well with other team members
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays
