Job Summary
Set-up and clean dining areas, sanitize dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment, and sweep floors. Serve residents and families daily meals, beverages, and desserts. Rotate, cover, label, and date leftover food items while keeping coolers and dry stock rooms organized. Follow department procedures for sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules, including infection control and standard precautions. Perform other duties as assigned by the Food & Nutrition Manager or Executive Director. Work full-time with competitive wages, paid vacation, and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a genuine interest in geriatric work
- Willingness to work for the best interest of the facility
- Positive, upbeat personality
- Willingness to work cooperatively with others
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must have or be willing to obtain Level 1 Servsafe certification
- Must pass a physical exam
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a Mantoux (TB) Test
- Must agree to a Drug Free Work Place policy
